Meet Michael!

This handsome guy is an ex-racing greyhound, therefore we have very little history for Michael but he has been a joy to care for. Michael is currently on foster and his foster carer reports that he has had one accident since being with him but otherwise consistently uses the garden or does his business while out on walks. He is a little shadow although not demanding of attention and equally can settle on the sofa or out in the garden in the sun.

Michael has been lovely with new people and dogs whilst onsite and has regularly offered playful behaviours to other dogs. While with his foster carer he has had lots of dog and people interactions and his foster carer reports he is learning to read other dogs out on walks and is very respectful, offering playful behaviours when the other dog initiates but otherwise able to stay independent. New owners should keep up with his socialisation around other friendly and playful dogs. As with most Ex racers, we are advising Michael is kept on lead and muzzled in public, this is something he is used to from his previous career. For a chance to have a good run or play with canine friends, it would be ideal for his new family to rent him some time in a secure field.

As he is such a steady and sweet dog, Michael has been used as an office dog onsite and even got to join some of our staff members for an afternoon out playing mini golf!

Michael will need a new home that can offer him plenty of fuss and attention as well as a soft cosy bed for him to relax on in his down time. New owners must be willing to steadily introduce the open world to Michael as he begins to understand all that the world can offer.
