HRH The Duchess of Cornwall to visit Battersea Dogs & Cats Home

HRH The Duchess of Cornwall will visit Battersea Dogs & Cats Home on Wednesday 12 December 2012, to tour the charity’s kennels and meet staff and volunteers of the Home. The Duchess will be accompanied by Beth and Bluebell, the two Jack Russell Terriers she rehomed from Battersea in the last two years.

The Duchess adopted Jack Russell Terrier Beth from Battersea in August 2011 and Bluebell joined the family in September 2012.

Battersea Chief Executive Claire Horton said: “We are thrilled to welcome The Duchess of Cornwall to Battersea for a second time, and we are incredibly grateful for her support. She has provided a fantastic home for two of our former residents and we look forward to showing her how we work tirelessly to find wonderful new families for the thousands of animals in need of our help each year.”

The Duchess’ visit will be celebrated by an eye-catching Battersea “Guard of Honour”, when a selection of Battersea dogs patiently hoping for a second chance in life will ensure Her Royal Highness’ visit is both special and memorable.
