Max
We first saw Max in a photo in April 2006 and as soon as I saw the photo I knew he was the one for us. He had such a gentle face.
We arranged to see him at Battersea and I have never seen such a beautiful dog in my life. He came out of his kennel and we spent a good hour playing with him, we were told that he didn’t retrieve a ball, but my husband soon had him running and bringing the ball back. After all the usual checks we were allowed to bring him home on the same day and we have been so lucky for him to have settled in so well. He paced a bit and drank a lot of water on the first night, but after that it was as if he had been with us forever. The cats on the other hand weren’t so pleased to meet him, but he loves them! Max enjoys Lily Allen and James Blunt songs; he howls to them every time they are on the radio and if he could he would live on the beach. His favourite trick is to sit in the muckiest, smelliest puddle he can find when he is out walking. Max is just wonderful; he brings us so much pleasure.
