Head deep into the hills surrounding Beijing and discover a country steeped in history, mythology and ancient traditions.  From the imperial tomb-defending wall at Mutianyu, wind your way through lofty mountain passes to the wall at Simatai, whose beauty is now recognised as a UNESCO world heritage site. On the way, visit the stunning Black Dragon Pool, famous for its ornate white marble bridge and spectacular views of the region’s tallest mountain. After all your trekking, you will return to the historic city of Beijing where you’ll be free to explore the sites, including Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.
