We are looking for a Canine Behaviourist & Training Advisor to work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations.

Our Canine Behaviour Team
This role is part of the Canine Behaviourist & Training Advisor Team, who are Battersea’s behavioural experts on dogs within an animal welfare environment. The team provides ongoing training and support to our Rehoming and Welfare staff on animal behaviour, expert guidance and advice related to the assessment of dogs in our care and are on hand to supply advice to our customers when needed during the intake, rehoming and post-rehoming work of Battersea. The team also provides expert advice in the development and delivery of animal related products, materials and training for the charity, and represents Battersea at external events and activities.
This role sits within the Operations Directorate, which is responsible for delivering the highest standards of animal welfare and care for every dog and cat in their journey through Battersea, from reception, to intake, to assessment and then to rehoming.
