Hydrotherapy at Battersea: Sessions for pets
01 JUNE 2021
Battersea’s new state-of-the-art hydrotherapy centre is now open to pets!
Here at Battersea we’re always striving to do more for the animals in our care, and we’re delighted that thanks to the support of our generous sponsors, we have been able to open our own state-of-the-art hydrotherapy pool at our Battersea London centre.
Hydrotherapy is an effective way to rehabilitate and manage orthopaedic conditions in dogs. It can also help alleviate many of the common pains and ailments that they experience.
The purpose-built heated indoor pool is 6x3m and includes resistance jets and an underwater treadmill. These facilities will mean our dedicated staff are able to support the post-operative rehabilitation and recovery of our most vulnerable animals and to help further enrich the lives of all the dogs in our care.
Hydrotherapy can be beneficial for all dogs, of all ages, so we’re thrilled that we will also be offering a series of different hydrotherapy courses, open to members of the public and their dogs. The availability of sessions will be subject to lockdown restrictions.
Whether you’ve been referred by your vet, are looking to help your dog safely lose a few pounds or want to familiarise your puppy with the water, Battersea has a range of hydrotherapy courses on offer, all led by our team of expert hydrotherapists.
The sessions available to book:
Puppy water experience
Puppy swimming course
Weight management programme
Veterinary referral cases
Sessions are available to book subject to lockdown restrictions, and the centre will operate in line with all government guidance. To find out more, or to book a session, take a look at our Hydrotherapy at Battersea page.
