Don't miss our one-stop shop in Hackney
Pet owners are invited to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home's new one-stop shop event in Hackney this September.
On Saturday 9 September, staff from the world-famous charity will be welcoming members of the public and their dogs for veterinary health checks and advice. The event is held in partnership with Hackney Council, Cats Protection and the Peabody Association.
Battersea staff will also be on hand offering free microchipping, while owners can also get free engraved tags for their pets and vouchers for cat neutering.
Battersea’s Community Engagement van, which was funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, will be at Pembury Community Centre, Atkins Square, Dalston Lane, E8 1HL, from 11am-4pm.
Battersea’s Community Engagement Manager, Sharon Kirk, said: “This is a great opportunity for pet owners to come along and take advantage of some expert advice and health checks for their animals. It’s all part of Battersea’s work to promote responsible pet ownership and the one-stop shop is designed to meet every pet owner’s needs. Working with our brilliant community partners really helps us reach more residents.
“Battersea doesn’t just rescue and rehome dogs and cats – we also spend a lot of time out in the community to help people learn more about looking after their pets, so do stop by when we’re out and about in Hackney and feel free to bring your dog.”
