Following on from the success of last year, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home has partnered with, the UK’s largest curated online marketplace, to re-launch their popular Knitting Kittens knitting club. Now in its second year, animal lovers can spend time with feline friends, create don-knit-tions for the charity’s homeless moggies and, for the first time, take part in a spec-cat-ular knitting workshop this September.

The world renowned charity have  teamed up with this year to run an extra-special Knitting Kittens event on Thursday 15th September, which will be led by’s creative small business Partners, Lauren Ashton, who will be teaching the art of knitting with giant needles and Stitch and Story,  who will help attendees to master the technique of knitting their  very own bobbly slippers. Attendees will have the opportunity to book a knitting workshop from the two available. 

Animal and craft lovers are invited to attend these knitting workshops in the charity’s London Cattery where admission will cost £5 plus a 50p booking fee In addition to the workshops, any other knitted donations from the day will be used to keep the 220 cats looking for new homes across its three centres warm and entertained. Whether you’re a novice or a knitting expert, crafty cat lovers of all levels of expertise are welcome to join the Knitting Kittens Club,

The rehoming pack will now include a produced catalogue featuring stories of animals rehomed by Battersea. The catalogue will also see these remarkable dogs and cats showcasing bespoke pet products which are amongst the 170,000 unique, design led items that can be purchased from, with five per cent of these sales donated to the charity.
