More about Maui

Ok, ok, I see what's happening here, You're face to face with greatness, and it's cute, You don't even know how you feel,It's adorable! Well, it's nice to see that humans never change, Open your eyes, let's begin, Yes, it's really me, it's Maui: adopt me!

Just like his namesake, Maui is a big strong lad, with a friendly face always willing to do anything to make his humans smile. Maui has been with us since August and did plan on spending his summer surveying his lands, but has been stuck in a cattery rehoming pen. Can he find a home before the winter months fully set in? Maui loves the sun and breeze in his fur, and wants to share this experience with his new family.

Battersea screens all cats for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Maui has tested positive. FIV is a slow-acting virus and most infected cats live healthy and happy lives for many years. In order to protect other cats from catching it and to preserve the health of the carrier, Battersea rehomes FIV+ cats to homes with enclosed gardens.
Maui is looking for a home where he can enjoy some outside access. He needs at least a two bed property with an enclosed garden that he cannot get out of.

He requires plenty of exercise and mental and physical stimulation, to keep god-like body in check. He needs an enclosed garden so he can enjoy being outside without the worry of him leaving the garden and other cats getting in. This way he can protect his island from invaders, from a safe and secure area.

If you think you can offer Maui the perfect home, please inquire at cat.rehoming@battersea.org.uk and include photos of your enclosed garden in the email, or leave a message on 020 7627 9279 if you want to have a chat about him.

Prospective owners will need to speak to a Battersea Vet prior to rehoming.

Rehoming in three simple steps:

  1. Register - you can do this in person at one of our centres or by calling 0843 509 4444
  2. Match - our rehoming team will help you find your perfect feline friend and introduce you to them
  3. Rehome - after a final medical check and all the advice you could possibly need, you'll be able to take your new friend home with you.
