More about Tillie
Tillie was brought to Battersea as she unfortunately didn't get on with the new family dog. Tillie is a gentle, sweet, yet sensitive lady who in time will show how much love she has to give. Like many cats, Tillie is cautious around strangers and may take some time to find her paws in her new environment.
Tillie is a social girl who loves a great playing session, or just simply chilling out on your lap, snoozing away. Once settled in her new environment, she will make a fun and loving addition to her new family.
Here at Battersea we screen all cats on arrival for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Tillie has tested positive. FIV is a slow-acting virus and most infected cats live healthy and happy lives for many years. In order to protect the cat population at large from the risk of catching it and to preserve the health of the carrier, Battersea rehomes FIV+ cats to homes with enclosed gardens.
Don't worry if your garden isn't currently "cat-proofed" we can offer plenty of advice. We'll also arrange for you to speak to a Battersea Vet prior to rehoming.
To find out more please take a look at our 'Your FIV+ Cat' information page
