To become a Community Rehoming Volunteer (Dogs) at Battersea, there are a few requirements you must meet. We hope that you understand that these have been put in place to ensure our animals get the best possible care while they wait to find a permanent home. Please read the below requirements carefully and tick the boxes for all those that apply:

We are looking for Community Rehoming Volunteers who have no cats or other dogs in their household. Many of our dogs are not comfortable being around other animals.

We ask that any children in the home are over 13 years of age. This is because some of our dogs are timid and require a calm and quiet household in which to gain confidence. This is in no way a reflection of your child or children, but a rule to safeguard the welfare of our dogs.

It is important that you are around when you first take one of our dogs into your care to help them settle. Once they have settled, we also ask that you are in a position to not leave the dog alone for more than 4 hours at a time.
