Cairo is a clever German Shepherd crossed with a Malinois who likes to chase after tennis balls. He is located at our Old Windsor centre, if you are interested in rehoming him please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk.

Cairo is a young, adolescent dog who has a lot of energy and is looking for owners that have had experience of Shepherd type breeds and are willing to take on a dog with ongoing training needs.

He is a bright dog and is really keen on learning, he enjoys eating treats and knows lots of cues already, such as “sit”, “paw” and “spin”.

He can be strong on the lead and needs to work on his interactions with other dogs and his manners as he can be over zealous at times. He is currently looking to be the only dog in his new home, however he will benefit from socialising with appropriate dogs on walks that are happy with his bouncy nature.

In his previous home, Cairo was house trained and was happy to go into the car.

He will benefit from doing additional activities such as search or scent work and will need owners with an active lifestyle that can keep him busy. He needs to keep his brain busy too.
