More about MILTON
Milton is a friendly, bouncy American Bulldog Cross at Old Windsor who approaches everything in life with huge enthusiasm. If you are interested in him please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk.
Milton is a younger dog who needs some further training, although we have found he is really responsive and likes to be engaged. He struggles when people leave him and this will be an area to work on when he is settled in his new home, and he is also looking for a home where he will not need to be left alone initially.
Milton loves toys and will manage to create a fun game with any toy he has; we do have to keep an eye on him as he can sometimes chew toys up. He has some good basic training already and is generally polite when taking treats, offering a lovely sit.
We have found that Milton has been very worried and often avoiding of some forms of veterinary handling, particularly around his ears. He will need regular ear cleaning to keep them healthy, and is looking for confident owners who are able to keep up the training we have put in place to help Milton.
Milton is physically strong on lead so is looking for owners who can happily manage him, and who are familiar with dogs of his size. He can try to be a lap dog and given the opportunity will snuggle up next to you for a fuss.
He is playful with other dogs, enjoying a short wrestle and chase, and may be able to live with an existing adult dog - he can sometimes forget his size and so needs a robust dog who will enjoy his playstyle.
Milton has a goofy, endearing character and we can imagine he'll be so much fun in his new home.
