More about QUAKER
Meet our delightfully scruffy Lurcher gent - Quaker! He loves nothing more than being outside, playing with his ball and exploring the fields on his walks. Quaker has proven to be a very sweet and friendly boy with all people he has met since being with us at Battersea.
It is likely that Quaker has some Border Collie in his mix, as he does display some typical Collie traits.
He has been a little bit under confident and uncomfortable around some dogs, but has responded very well to training put in place for him to help around this and to ensure his dog interactions are nice and positive. We have lots of helpful information we can pass on and demonstrate to any potential adopters! Quaker is looking for experienced dog owners keen to keep up with his training and socialisation.
He will need his own private garden for safe, off lead exercise and to help with house training and settling in to home life. A home without any other pets is what this lovely boy needs, but he could live with sensible and respectful teenagers pending introductions at our centre.
We have limited history on Quaker in a home environment as he is a stray, so his leaving hours will need to be minimal, at least to begin with, and built up very gradually. Quaker does travel really nicely in a car and he is comfortable out and about town in an environment where it may be busier with people.
If you think this handsome chap could be just right for your family home, please get in touch with our rehoming team on rehoming@battersea.org.uk ensuring you have first register to adopt on our website.
Please note that we can only respond to applicants whose homes we believe best meet Quaker's needs.
