Meet our sweet Shadow!

Shadow arrived at Battersea through no fault of her own, due to a change in her owners' circumstances.

On arrival Shadow was quite shut down in kennels and very worried of new people. Although she is still sensitive at times and a bit unsure around strangers, she has come leaps and bounds since her arrival, coming out of her shell with us and has shown us her loving and playful side.

Shadow has a history of being very worried of men, and can be quite nervous around being handled by strangers. She has however been extremely affectionate with her bonded handlers, and has been able to make friends with men onsite, given the space and opportunity to approach in her own time.

Shadow has proven to be sociable with other dogs, although a little hesitant and underconfident when first greeting, she enjoyed a play with other dogs and likes making doggy friends.

Due to her sensitive side and fear of new people - Shadow is looking for an adult only home with owners who have experience around nervous dogs, so as to best set her confidence building up for success. Shadow is also a bit of an overbonder and really loves her known people, often seeking reassurance from them - so is looking for owners who have a lifestyle that can facilitate her time alone training needs to help with confidence building around spending time alone.
