More about Thor

Meet Thor! Our wonderful Greyhound who is looking for a warm and loving home where he can rest his paws and enjoy human company.

He will be rehomed from Battersea with the additional recommendations that he is kept on lead and muzzled in public spaces and walks due to the chase behaviours he has demonstrated towards small animals! Quite a typical trait for the breed.

He has a lovely history in his previous home with people and dogs, although does outline some sensitivities with sleep startle, not wanting to be touched when he's having a snooze. He also didnt like when his toys were taken from him and so will need new owners who are confident to manage both of these behaviours in a new home.

He loves to interact and be near people whereby he will need a little guidance in helping him settle on his own to avoid him being at your toes and gaining some independence!
Thor has a good history with other dogs and we have seen the same with him onsite. He can become a little focussed towards smaller dogs so new owners should be confident to manage this when out and about!

Thor is looking for a home where he'll be the only dog with his own private garden and no small fluffies around the house! Due to his history of sleep startle and not wanting toys taken form him - he'll be best suited in an adults only home who can respect his space when snoozing and put in some training around resources.

One other important thing to know about Thor... he doesn't like slippery floors! Thor finds slippery indoor floors very scary and so will need understanding owners that are either willing to have lots of blankets or rugs around the house, or even just a fully carpeted house will do!

Thor will be a really loving addition in his new home and really just wants to be in the company of his people all day long!
