More about HUGO

Hugo is a lovely Greyhound who has found himself back with us after being in a home for a year. In that time he has gained lots of confidence but will need new owners to consider he does have a sensitive side. He enjoys a gentle fuss, loves his toys, especially the squeaky ones! And of course LOVES his food.

Hugo was house trained in his previous home but we would expect him to need some reminders in his future abode. He is looking for owners who are experienced with the breed and understand their breed traits and manners. Hugo does get a little over excited at times so will need new owners to help him settle and learn some basic manners.

This handsome boy is looking for a new home with multiple carers who can help him settle and build up his time spend alone gradually. We feel he would be best suited to a home with children aged 13+ whom can give him the time and space he needs but also get involved in his training and providing him different forms of enrichment. He could also potentially live with another calm natured dog of a medium size and above.

Hugo's home will need to be located away from the inner city as he is worried by loud noises and busy streets, he will also need his own secure and private garden where he can spend time building his confidence and be off lead with his toys!

While at Battersea, Hugo has a shown that he loves a good run, especially when there is wildlife in our fields, due to this he is not suited to live with cats or small animals. Hugo will also need to be walked on lead and muzzled, he has been working on learning his name and coming back to his handler as well as playing with toys. Hugo does enjoy training especially when a tasty treat is involved.

If you have the time and patience for Hugo, he will grow into a rewarding addition to the family. Please start our rehoming process with registering online, if you have already done this then please contact us at bbh.rehomers@battersea.org.uk
