More about PANTHER
Panther has had a very unsettled start to life, and although he is a stunning boy, he is looking for owners who have very good experience with nervous guarding breeds.
Panther is quite true to the breed. He finds some things in life, like unknown people and vets quite worrying and has exhibited nervous behaviours, however with his known people he is completely the opposite. When he feels comfortable around you he becomes a big puppy, and can show some boisterous behaviours. His heart is in the right place, he just needs to learn how to channel his enthusiasm appropriately.
He will need consistent training to help carry on his positive association to vet visits as he can find them a little scary.
This big boy spent most of life living outside so will need plenty of time adjusting to a home environment, with firm boundaries in place from day one.
Although Panther didn't get along great with the dog he previously lived with and there are some breeds he's suspicious of, he does generally enjoy other dogs company out and about, so although he is unable to live with another dog he would love some regular walking or play buddies. Some level of management and training will be needed.
Panther can be strong on lead, so his new owners must physically be able to manage him.
If you feel you can commit to all of Panthers training and management needs, you will be rewarded with a loyal and fun member of the family for life.
