More about POPPY
Meet our very special Poppy.
Poppy doesn't appear to have had the best that life can offer so far, but she hasn't let this get her down - she's as sprightly as she was as a pup and is always on the go.
She adores her people and greets you with such enthusiasm. She is slowly learning how to play with toys, and she's even mastered a couple of tricks during her stay here!
Poppy has shown some nice social skills here, but has been uncomfortable around some dogs, so will need ongoing training and confidence building in this area. Her worry manifests itself in her becoming very vocal on lead - she's done well with the training we've started here, but this will need to be continued in a home. She is most comfortable with sight-hounds, and could potentially live with a calm, tolerant male.
Her new owners must have some experience with dog reactive dogs, and be confident to continue socialising her.
This lovely lady behaves beautifully around people - she takes food gently and has tolerated clinic checks as well as being bathed and groomed. She has tried her best to be house-trained in her kennel, so is likely to pick this up quickly in a new home.
Poppy is looking for active owners who are looking for a project and happy to put in plenty of time and effort to help her become the best version of herself that she can be. She would thrive doing some 'extra curricular' activities, such as agility, trick training or flyball.
Poppy is just waiting for that special home who can give her the best years of her life.
