Lister’s Brewery, named after a family pet rehomed from Battersea, is raising money through the sale of its beers.
Lister’s Brewery, established in 2012, is fondly named after Lister the terrier, a much-loved pet of the family who run the brewery. After he was rehomed from us, he spent many happy evenings with family members enjoying attention in the local pub.
In honour of its beloved pet, Lister’s Brewery donates 5p from the sale of every bottle and every pint of its beer to our Home, helping us do all we can to rehome more dogs like Lister into loving new homes.
Head Brewer, Phil Waite, said: “When trying to come up with a name for the brewery our thoughts turned to our beloved pet terrier, Lister, a Battersea rescue dog who was never happier than when in a cosy local pub. It struck us that there was there’s something quintessentially British about dogs and pubs - so Lister’s Brewery was born.
“It seemed only fitting that having lent Lister’s name to the brewery we would give something back to the Home. We’re delighted to be teaming up with such a special place as Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and we hope our customers enjoy giving a little something back when they choose a Lister’s.”
