Edinburgh marathon

The Edinburgh Marathon Festival has announced that the 2020 Edinburgh Marathon event has been cancelled.

We will be contacting all participants who were taking part on behalf of Battersea, over the coming days. We know how disappointing this will be for our participants who have trained so hard and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has chosen to take part for Battersea and raise vital funds for our dogs and cats. We are incredibly grateful for your support. For further information visit the Edinburgh Marathon Festival website here https://www.edinburghmarathon.com/.

Starting on Potterrow in the grounds of one of the oldest Universities in the world, this incredible city centre route takes you through the very heart of Edinburgh.

You’ll pass Greyfriars Bobby, the National Museum of Scotland, Arthur's Seat and even run down the Royal Mile to the historic Holyrood Park, before heading east along the course to finish in Musselburgh.

Why run for Battersea?

  • An invitation to our meet and greet event where you will receive a ‘behind the scenes’ tour
