Edinburgh Marathon Festival has announced its 2020 event will now be postponed until Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September.
We will be contacting all participants who had secured a place and were running for Battersea over the coming days. We know how disappointing this will be for our runners who have trained so hard and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has chosen to run for Battersea and raise vital funds for our dogs and cats. We’re incredibly grateful for your support. For further information visit the Edinburgh Marathon Festival website here https://www.edinburghmarathon.com/.
Starting on Potterrow in the grounds of one of the oldest Universities in the world, this incredible city centre route takes you through the very heart of Edinburgh.
You’ll pass Greyfriars Bobby, the National Museum of Scotland, Arthur's Seat and even run down the Royal Mile to the historic Holyrood Park, before heading east along the course to finish in Musselburgh.
I want a charity place
We have a number of guaranteed places in the Edinburgh Marathon, so register now to run on behalf of Battersea.
The registration fee for a Battersea charity place is £20 (this is non-refundable and payable on confirmation of your place) and we ask that you pledge to raise a minimum of £500.
The money you raise by taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon goes towards the care of all our dogs and cats.
I have my own place
If you have already secured your place for the Edinburgh Marathon we would love for you to run on behalf of Battersea.
We don't ask you to raise a minimum amount if you've got your own place, but we will support you every step of the way to raise as much as possible.
