Greater Manchester Marathon

Manchester Marathon has announced its 2020 event will now be postponed. The event organisers are working to firm up a date, likely to be the autumn.

We know how disappointing this will be for our runners who have trained so hard and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has chosen to run for Battersea and raise vital funds for our dogs and cats. We’re incredibly grateful for your support. Battersea relies upon donations to raise the vital funds needed to keep our centres running, and now, more than ever, we need the continued support of the public to ensure we can continue to be here for every dog and cat.

The 2020 event introduces a new route straight through Manchester city centre, showcasing some of the city’s most iconic landmarks including the Manchester Opera House, Spinningfields, Albert Memorial Hall and The Midland Hotel amongst many others.

With 25,000 people running and thousands more spectating, the atmosphere is sure to be buzzing – and you could be part of it.
