Knitting Kittens Club
Get creative for our cats and join us for our monthly knitting event, held in our London Cattery.
This is the world's first interspecies knitting club where animal lovers can create the soft and cat-friendly items our felines need including knitted mice, blankets and toys. Attendees can alternatively knit items for their own pets using our animals as inspiration.
Whether you're a novice or knitting expert, crafty cat lovers of all levels of expertise are welcome to our Knitting Kittens Club.
Admission to our normal Knitting Kittens club is £2 although further donations towards caring for our animals are greatly appreciated. Please bring your own wool and knitting needles. This does not apply to our notonthehighstreet.com special - see details below for this event.
Our next event dates
|Thursday 15 September - notonthehighstreet.com special (this event must be pre-booked - details below)||5.45pm to 8.15pm||Battersea, London|
|Wednesday 19 October - Knitting Kittens club||5pm to 8pm||Battersea, London|
|Wednesday 16 November - Knitting Kittens club||5pm to 8pm||Battersea, London|
This September we’re teaming up with notonthehighstreet.com to run an extra-special Knitting Kittens. You’ll have the choice to book into one of two knitting workshops led by two small creative businesses from notonthehighstreet.com.
- Laura Aston workshop – master the art of knitting with chunky merino wool and the biggest needles you’ll have ever seen *SOLD OUT*
- Stitch & Story workshop – learn how to knit your very own bobble slippers, ready for you to pop on when you get home and put your feet up. *SOLD OUT*
Of course, there will also be an opportunity to meet some current resident felines looking for homes.
Admission to the event is £5 (all proceeds going to the animals in our care) with an additional 50p booking fee. All materials for the workshops will be provided - just bring yourself!
Places for each workshop are now sold out.
Knit a gift for our animals
If you can't join us for Knitting Kittens, we would still welcome any donations of knitted blankets and mice for our cats to enjoy while they wait for new homes.
We can use crochet blankets but we do prefer the knitted versions as these are less likely to get tangled in little cat claws. Please download our knitted blanket patterns and our knitted mice patterns.
