Ciara joined Battersea as Data Strategy Programme Manager in October 2021 and was promoted into a Director role in 2023. A qualified GDPR practitioner, Ciara has almost 20 years’ experience working with data and data delivery services, largely for the third sector. She has a strong background in change management - having overhauled team structures and systems at several major charities. She is passionate about making a difference in the work she leads and has used her technical and analytical abilities to make positive changes to the way data is stored and managed - supporting the wellbeing of millions of customers across brand name charities including the British Heart Foundation, Diabetes UK and the NSPCC.

As an animal-lover she is excited to be leading the data transformation for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, in a role that spans strategy, delivery, process development, systems analysis, data integrity and management. As part of the senior leadership team, Ciara is a key contributor to operational efficiency at the organisation, although will admit she can occasionally get somewhat caught up in making a fuss of the excellent dogs on site!
