Sheila

Both of us had grown up with dogs and as we are in a stable relationship, we knew we could provide a good home.  We had no particular breed in mind and we chose Sheila because she needed us the most.  As soon as we met her for the first time, we knew she was the one. She has settled in really well.  Sheila very quickly progressed from a boisterous dog who could not be let off the lead, to a loyal and placid pet who is very well socialized with people and other dogs, on or off the lead. 

Without doubt having a Battersea dog has changed our lives for the better.  As a couple we no longer languish on the sofa with hangovers at the weekends.  Instead our favorite destination is Savill Gardens, which is a great opportunity for us to walk together in the fresh air; whist Sheila explores the wonderful woodland smells and making new doggie and people friends!  Having Sheila is a real commitment and one that we have embraced whole heartedly. For anyone thinking of adopting a Battersea dog, remember that the commitment is for the rest of the dog’s life.  They have to be exercised, fed, and provided with a loving environment but the rewards are huge.  Having a dog changes your life for the better and you will have a loyal companion for years to come. Sheila is our first Staffie and as a breed we definitely recommend them now we have first hand experience.  Battersea were fundamental in helping us choose the right dog and making sure that we were right for Sheila.  Thank you Battersea for bringing Sheila into our lives!
