More about ASTRID

Astrid is a young, energetic Staffordshire Bull Terrier based at Battersea Old Windsor who absolutely loves her food and exploring her surroundings on her walks. She is incredibly intelligent and with consistency has picked up her training well. We have found that she does need to be kept busy, otherwise she will find ways to entertain herself, demonstrating some unwanted and sometimes overstimulated behaviours. Astrid really enjoys the company of other dogs and demonstrates some nice social skills with them.

Astrid is very much in the juvenile stage and has behaviours that are needing support, our team will be on hand to demonstrate what we have found helps and supports her. She can become quickly startled or overwhelmed and may use her voice if she is feeling uncertain around new people. However, she has shown she can quickly recover and make friends. She can also become quickly overstimulated, jumping up and light mouthing or stealing items.

Astrid is looking for a new home who are experienced with energetic, juvenile Bull breeds and who understand that it will take time, patience and training to support Astrid to flourish into a well rounded adult and that there are no quick fixes. She will need a secure, private garden to assist with her ongoing training, which will be demonstrated to any potential new owners. Her new owners will be patient and kind individuals and will need to support her with her confidence building around new experiences, people and dogs. We have no doubts this amazing dog will be well worth the effort, but she will need time dedicated to her.

She is definitely work in progress but she is affectionate, energetic, has a smart brain and loves to work for food, meaning she is very trainable.
