More about DOBBY

Dobby is a young, enthusiastic Lurcher who enjoys chasing after toys and splashing around in the paddling pools here at Battersea Old Windsor.

Dobby is looking for new owners that are happy to work on his training around other dogs. He has been social at times but he can also be worried and this shows itself as Dobby barking and pulling on the lead towards them. He is learning to pass dogs without barking but this will be a work in progress.

One of Dobby’s favourite things to do is run around the paddocks and stretch his legs. He burns off a lot of energy doing this and due to this he is looking for a home with his own private and secure garden.

Dobby is a bright dog and already knows a few commands such as “sit”, “down” and “paw”. He likes his food and tasty treats will help with any future training.

We have found that Dobby can be a bit worried around new people, especially men but can make friends fairly quickly. Due to his sensitive side, he is looking to live in a quieter location away from busy roads and built up areas. He would also be better suited to walk in areas that aren't too busy with dogs as he would find this overwhelming.
