More about GREGORY
Gregory is a fun, active and very endearing dog, based at Battersea Old Windsor.
He is spending some time in a foster home and his foster carers have dedicated a lot to his training to help him around other dogs. Gregory previously was reactive to dogs but with some support he has really flourished and rarely barks now. He really likes greeting dogs out on walks and is looking for owners to continue his training and who can help expand his dog friendship group.
In his foster home he is described by his foster carers as a fun loving, affectionate dog who just wants to please. He knows a Sit, Down, Paw, Stay, In your Bed, and is working on a heel. He’s housetrained, travels quietly in the car and is generally confident when out on his walks. He’s very people motivated and loves nothing more than cuddling up with some company. He’s also keen to greet anyone who stops to admire him and likes to lean on legs to receive a fuss if he can.
Gregory is an active dog who loves to be out and about and is more than happy to go on walks of 2 hours or more. We believe he may have some Spaniel breed as part of his mix, so he does show some of the typical breed traits -he can be very strong on lead and will pull to things he wants to sniff or investigate but is learning to walk calmy at times.
Gregory has shown a very high chase drive towards wildlife and small animals and can be quite relentless in his quest to find them; for this reason he cannot live in a home with any smaller pets, and he'll need his own very secure garden where he can potter around and enjoy some off lead exercise.
Due to his coat, any new owners will need to be committed to daily grooming sessions, which he really enjoys.
