More about INDY

Indi is a bright, lively dog with a big personality and plenty of charm. She is based at Battersea Old Windsor. At home she is gentle, affectionate and settled, enjoying attention and leaning in for fuss from her humans. She is happy travelling in the car and loves welcoming visitors.

Out on walks, Indy is still learning the ropes and will benefit from ongoing, consistent training to build her confidence. Although she can appear bold, she is not always comfortable in busy environments and can be somewhat reactive to some people or dogs passing. She has shown a tendency to bark and jump when she feels overwhelmed and in open spaces, her chase instinct can kick in.

Luckily Indy is very food-motivated which really helps with her training. She is smart, responsive and eager to learn, so with the right guidance and support, she has great potential to thrive. Her ideal family will be experienced and understanding, helping her practice calm and positive behaviours by sticking to quieter walking areas and avoiding overly stimulating situations in the early days.

Indy can happily walk alongside calm dog friends but may struggle with those that are more boisterous. She has made good progress with her training in this area, but it will need to be continued in the home.

She is looking for a loving, patient home with experienced owners who can offer her the reassurance, structure and training she needs. She has such an endearing nature, we know that in the right hands she will flourish and in return she will be a loyal and loving companion.
