More about MINNIE
Minnie is an affectionate and enthusiastic Cockapoo, based at our Old Windsor site.
Minnie really enjoys going on long walks and loves the freedom of being on a longer lead to explore the environment. She is looking for a secure private garden as she loves to zoom around and roll in long grass.
Minnie prefers her own space when it comes to socialising with other dogs, she can become worried when they invade her space and she will show clear signs that she is uncomfortable. Minnie will tell other dogs off if she is not comfortable. We feel it is best for Minnie to be the only dog in the home and will not enjoy having regular visiting dogs coming round to the house.
From her history of being in a previous home, Minnie has struggled being around younger children and different forms of handling. She is looking for her new home that doesn’t have regular visiting young children and would only be suitable for teens who can provide her space and calm handling.
Minnie has found different forms of handling very worrying and has ongoing training to help continue building her confidence and build positive associations. She is also working on her dog interactions and walking past dogs in different environments, she has made great progress during her time with us and her training will need to be continued in her new home.
When Minnie is with her favourite people she is a lively and playful girl, that enjoys snuggling in for a fuss. In her previous home she was house trained and friendly towards visiting adults in the home.
