More about RADISH

Radish is a lively and intelligent young dog who is based at our Old Windsor centre.

Radish has shown to struggle in some areas and will need experienced owners who are able to continue his training. At times when meeting people he doesn't know Radish can be very worried, resulting in him barking, jumping towards them or trying to move away. He also finds big groups of people or very animated movements quite intimidating and so is looking for a calm home and would best suit a smaller household as he's unlikely to cope well with the comings and goings of a busy household.

Radish is super playful and adores toys. He will play with people but he is also happy to entertain himself and will charge around, flinging toys up in the air. Food is a favourite too, and he knows sit and paw already.

With other dogs, Radish is still building his confidence, so he would benefit from being the only dog in the home at this time and have dog friends he can play and interact with.

Radish enjoys hands on attention but he is also a bit conflicted and can become anxious, which leads to him using his mouth and getting a little bit over-the-top. We have been practising calm fuss to help him learn that hands on contact is a positive thing. Having his harness put on is another area that he struggles with and we're working to get him more used to this, but his owners will need to carry on this training.

Despite needing a calm home, he is very active and full of life and so will need dedicated owners who are able to give him all the exercise, training and fun activities to keep him happy.
