More about RILEY

Riley is a bubbly and enthusiastic Lurcher with plenty of personality. He is based at Battersea Old Windsor and is looking for new owners who have experience or knowledge of Sighthounds and their breed traits.

Riley loves nothing more than making new friends and enjoying the attention that comes with it. He loves affection and a fuss but can sometimes forget his manners and can jump up. He is currently working on keeping 4 paws on the floor to encourage him to say hello in calm manner.

As Riley came into our care as a stray, we are unsure if he has lived in a home before. He is looking for owners who can take a patient approach to his care to allow him to settle in, get familiar with a new routine and carry out his basic training such as recall and housetraining.

Although Riley has been social and friendly with other dogs, he is looking to be the only dog in the household at this time. Riley can sometimes be overly playful, especially when off-lead which other dogs may not enjoy and find too much. He is still working on calmer interactions but would benefit from some walking friends who can act as a role model.

Riley loves to play with toys and he is often seen in his kennel keeping himself entertained by playing with soft toys. He loves to throw them in the air and try to catch them.

Riley is a fun loving boy who will bring plenty of love and smiles to a new home. He would benefit from going to an active home that will enjoy taking him on longer walks.
