- Entries are free of charge. Entries must be a photograph of your dog or cat in a festive setting. The photo must not include people and, if multiple animals are included, these must be the same species, not a cat and a dog.
- Entries must be submitted by being posted directly to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s Facebook page. Entrants may submit a maximum of two entries (up to 1 for each category).
- Entry will open on the 20 November 2023 and close on the 26 November 2023. Any entries outside of this period will not be considered.
- Entrants must reside in the United Kingdom and be at least 18 years of age. Entrants who reside outside of the UK or are under 18 years of age automatically forfeit the right to any prize.
- Entry is not open to employees or volunteers of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
- The draw will be conducted at random on the 27 November 2023 by an independent party and witnessed by two people.
- The prizes available for the dog category are a blue, Battersea-branded dog coat and a Battersea-branded travel mug. No cash alternative will be offered.
- The prizes available for the cat category are a Battersea-branded cat toy, a blue scratching post and a Battersea-branded travel mug. No cash alternative will be offered.
- One winner for each category will be chosen using a random number generator. No winner can win both categories. Winners will be notified via private message on Facebook within 7 days of the draw date.
- Winners will have up to 10 working days from the date contact is made to claim their prize. If a winner cannot be contacted or fails to claim the prize within this period, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternative winner selected. Alternative winners will be selected in the same way.
- Winners will be asked for basic information that can be used to dispatch the prize. No information will be requested externally to the Meta platform. Battersea will not try to contact you by sending a follow or friend request, or by asking you to open any links. If you receive a link from someone claiming to be Battersea, please report this to Meta.
- The information you provide may be used to communicate with you by post under our legitimate interest.
