Dan Gopal is Chief Commercial Officer at PRS for Music, responsible for leading the group in managing all commercial activity across the UK spanning Broadcast TV, Radio, Digital services, and recorded media providers; PRS licensing via its joint ventures and partnerships including Public Performance, Live and Multi-Territory Music Streaming; and in ensuring PRS builds long term partnerships with customers, members, and trade bodies across the industry. 

Dan has over 25 years’ experience in commercial and strategy roles for global media and entertainment companies, including senior leadership positions at The Walt Disney Company, Miramax, ITV and most recently, Entertainment One (part of Hasbro) as EVP & Head of Sales EMEA. 

Dan was one of the founding members of the Childline Board in 2004, which is the largest fundraising board dedicated to the Childline service across the NSPCC. During the last 20 years, they have raised over £33m for the charity from a combination of events, media donations & campaigns, corporate sponsorship, and other activations. Dan chaired the Childline Ball Board for 5 years, organising the largest annual fundraising event for the charity, raising several £m from table sales, auctions, donations, and sponsorship; and themed around major entertainment brands including BGT, Saturday Night Takeaway and MasterChef in partnership with ITV, BBC, and various UK production companies. Dan was made an Honorary Member of the NSPCC Council in 2011.
