More about ACE
Meet our astounding Ace!
Ace came to Battersea through no fault of his own. He has been more bonded to female carers than males in his previous home; however, with training, he has been quick to make friends at Battersea with all staff. Ace displayed some overbonding behaviours in his history and onsite, so he would be best suited to a multicarer household that can share responsibilities and prevent excessive dependency.
When Ace arrived onsite, it quickly became apparent he’d undergone obedience training at some point in his history. He started performing for his care group, showcasing skills that included basics like ‘sit’ and ‘stay’, as well as advanced commands like ‘middle’, ‘wait’, and an attempt at ‘roll over’ - which his care group has been helping him perfect. His enthusiasm for learning and eagerness to please suggest a strong potential for continued training in a structured environment.
Ace is an affectionate boy who thrives in human company and has reached a pivotal point in his development. He’s looking for owners who can continue his training in his forever home.
He has shown varied behaviour around other dogs, and as his socialisation continues, we recommend he be the only dog in the household for now.
As a large, strong, and energetic breed still growing and learning, Ace requires experienced owners familiar with handling dogs of his size and training complexity.
