More about Alfred

Alfred is an energetic and cheeky Whippet‑cross Lurcher. He absolutely loves zooming around the paddocks here. With his lively nature, he’ll thrive in an active home that can keep both his mind and body busy, because if Alfred gets bored, he’s more than capable of finding his own entertainment.

He enjoys meeting other dogs on walks and can sometimes get frustrated when he can’t say hello quickly enough, but during his time with us he has been friendly and playful with other dogs. With the right match, he could potentially live with a dog of a similar temperament.

Alfred can be a little nervous around unfamiliar people, but once he has had time to warm up, his fun and affectionate side comes out. Some aspects of handling can worry him, so he’s looking for a home without young children who can give him space when he needs it and help him build confidence at his own pace. He enjoys a gentle groom which is lucky as he'll need regular grooming due to his coat type.

Due to his worried side around unknown people, Alfred will need a private, secure garden where he can relax, play, and enjoy his beloved zoomies safely. He’s also a big fan of toys — especially rope toys and tennis balls — and loves to chase them.
