More about ASTON

Meet our lovely boy Aston!

Aston came to us as a stray, so unfortunately we have no background information on him. At Battersea, we have observed a sensitive boy who was quite anxious about new surroundings and people when he first arrived. However, over time, he has made great strides in confidence and is blossoming into a brave young dog! Aston loves nothing more than lying down and playing with all his toys or enjoying cuddles with his people.

Aston lacks confidence when interacting with other dogs. When he first arrived, he was conflicted during introductions to other dogs. We have invested a lot of time in training his social skills, taking him out with calm and confident companions. Through this, he has gained significant confidence and is now even displaying playful behaviours. As his training and socialisation continue, Aston will need to be the only dog in his new home, with socialisation taking place in outside or neutral environments.

Aston is looking for a new home with owners who have some experience of socialising nervous dogs and are prepared to train a young, occasionally energetic dog that could grow into a large breed. His new owners will need to give Aston the time and patience to settle into his new environment and build friendships. He is sure to become the most loving and loyal companion to any home fortunate enough to welcome him.

If you are interested in our lovely Aston, please contact the rehoming team at: rehoming@battersea.org.uk, ensuring you have first registered for rehoming on the Battersea website: https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming.

Please note that due to volume of enquiries we expect to receive, we will only be able to respond to homes that we feel best meet Aston's needs.
