More about Axel

Meet sweet little Axel!

Axel came to Battersea due to a change in his owners' circumstances.

He has a lovely history in his previous home, with adults, children & other dogs. His owners said he was an excitable boy that loved to be in the presence of people and have a good play, both with other dogs on walks and in the home.

Since coming into Battersea, we have seen a very sweet, friendly boy with a bit of a sensitive side to him. He has really struggled to settle alone in kennel and has found being on his own distressing, often howling throughout the day for attention. He's been quite stressed on walks around our busy London site and has been whining at times, but is building in confidence each day. He's been independent when interacting with other dogs so far, but does have some friendly greets.

Axel could live with first time owners that are willing to put in some training around his time alone. He could possibly live with another dog of a similar size and temperament to him that won't pester him too much in the home. He can potentially live with sensible children that won't over-handle him and will respect his space. While a garden would be greatly beneficial, it is not essential for lovely Axel.

Axel is such a sweet boy, and wants nothing more than to be curled up in the lap of his favourite people, he will be a lovely addition to a new home.
