More about BEANO

Meet our gorgeous little Daschund cross Bean!

Since arriving, he has shown himself to be a friendly, affectionate boy who enjoys cuddles, toys, and spending time with his people. On walks, Bean can be vocal when he sees other dogs, but this comes from excitement and frustration rather than a dislike of them. Once given the opportunity to greet, he settles quickly and enjoys their company. With continued training and patient owners, Bean is already showing great progress and will make a lovely companion.

Bean came to Battersea with another Dachshund that he had lived with for several years, however due to both being vocal on lead when seeing other dogs, together this behaviour was intensified. He is now looking for home by himself, although may be able to live with another dog again, providing they are calm around other dogs.

Bean would be better in a home in a quiet location without the frustration of busy walking routes whilst owners are continuing his training around dogs. He could potentially live with sensible older children & possibly even a confident cat. Due to his reactivity, he would also highly benefit from having a quiet garden, unless living in a very quiet location with lot's of quiet walking routes for training without distractions. As he has shown some separation anxiety when left alone, he is also ideally suited to a multi-carer home.
