More about BEAR

Meet Bear – a sweet, sensitive soul with a heart full of love and loyalty to give. Bear came into our care because his previous owners could no longer care for him. Previously described as an affectionate and playful boy, Bear is now absolutely thriving in a foster home, where he's shown just how clever, aware, and gentle he can be.

A classic Shepherd at heart, Bear can be reactive to other dogs on lead and pull towards them. Since he has been on foster, this behaviour has really improved and he is much better on lead - while he can still pull occasionally, he is very responsive to his name and can be called back.

He is strong on lead and will need consistent work in this area. Despite his vocal behaviour, Bear has shown to be social when actually meeting dogs and enjoys their company.

Bear can also be unsure around loud noises and formal handling (such as vet visits), so he’ll need patient owners who can understand his body language signals and respect his need for space when he asks for it. He's looking for an experienced home, with Shepherd knowledge, where both his brain and body will be kept engaged.

Bear is an active boy and will need plenty of exercise and stimulation in his new home. Though sensitive, once Bear feels safe and settled, he promises to be the most loving, loyal companion. If you're ready to give this sweet boy the calm, understanding home he deserves, Bear is ready to give you his heart.
