More about Button
Meet our brave little Button, she is a beautiful young lady that is searching for a safe place to call home.
Button was found as a stray, injured and suspected to have been attacked by another animal. Button is recovering quickly from her puncture wounds and broken leg and has been receiving treatment from our expert Clinic Team. Our clinic team have estimated that she is 5 years old, and we have neutered her already. When she first came in, she was very scared understandably, however you wouldn’t be able to tell now as her confidence has grown massively! As she has had a longer stay than usual, she has become quite a favourite onsite and has been getting lots of tender love and care from our staff. We suspect she may have some Yorkshire Terrier in her. Her new family will need to be prepared to support her on her recovery journey (no jumping, some at home physio exercises etc.).
Button has a fun character that peaks through once she is comfortable and the fun terrier side of her personality comes out. She is the perfect balance of active, young and fun who is eager to go out on adventures, whilst being calm and relaxed at down time.
She likes to shake and throw around soft fluffy toys when she’s excited. She can be a little bit reserved at first with new people and is a friendly and affectionate girl who loves fusses and attention from her known people . Button prefers human company to dog company. She walks perfectly on lead, stopping to sniff and take in the smells.
Button shows interest in greeting other dogs. She has been offlead with other calm dogs and is happy to potter around with them. She does advocate for her space through telling other dogs off, when she gets overwhelmed especially while she is resting or eating. For this reason, combined with the fact she is still recovering from her injuries, she would need to be the only dog in the home.
Button has seen the groomer to remove some matting in her fur when she first arrived. She does have lovely long fur which is growing back and will require regular ongoing grooming which her new home must be prepared for.
