More about Charlie

Say hello to our sweet but sensitive soul, Charlie.

Charlie arrived at Battersea with some of her siblings from another rescue, and little is known about her early life. Like her siblings, she initially found the busy environment overwhelming and needed time to feel safe--at times acting like a puppy farm dog. In her first days, she was very worried about the world around her, but with patience and reassurance she has begun to settle and relax a little.

As Charlie has built trust with her carers, she has shown lovely progress and has become one of the more confident of her siblings. She is starting to show her gentle, affectionate nature and growing curiosity. While she can still feel unsure around new people at first, she warms up quickly when given time and care.

Charlie gains confidence from patient, calm handlers and is learning to enjoy walks, which can still feel a little daunting but are improving steadily. She does particularly well when accompanied by another dog and would benefit from living with another, more confident furry friend to help guide and reassure her through life.

Charlie is looking for a patient, committed, adult-only new home that will allow her to continue building confidence at her own pace. With understanding, consistency, and love, she has every chance to keep blossoming into a wonderful little lass.

*Please be advised that Charlie may require multiple introductions.
