More about Chase

Say hello to the handsome boy Chase!

Chase is a very sweet, busy 7 year old Spaniel who is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can truly settle and shine.

He came to us via another rescue, so his history is largely unknown, but he has shown himself to be a friendly and affectionate boy with people.

Like many spaniels, Chase is active and inquisitive, and despite his age he still needs plenty of mental stimulation to keep his clever mind occupied. The kennel environment has been challenging for him, and he would benefit greatly from the stability of a home where he can decompress and build confidence at his own pace.

Chase would suit an owner who can appreciate his sensitive side and who has realistic expectations of a busy spaniel. He can be a little worried about handling in certain situations, so gentle, confidence building interactions will be key for him.

Chase has shown to be uncomfortable around other dogs and can be intolerant of them in close proximity, so we would advise that he be kept on lead when out in public. His new owner should be confident reading dog body language and proactive about creating space from other dogs to help him feel safe and relaxed. He would also be looking to be a pet free home where he can be the only animal and have the

He will also require a home with a private fully secure garden so he can enjoy regular off lead exercise and safely burn off his energy away.

Chase will need someone patient, kind, and committed to understanding his needs. Chase has the biggest potential to be a, loving friend to anyone, who will thrive in a peaceful, structured environment.
