More about Dean
Meet Dean!
Dean is an 8 month old energetic Akita with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Found as a stray, so we have no history though he’s a playful, affectionate boy who loves people and thrives on interactions.
As a mid to high energy adolescent, Dean will need around three walks a day, mental stimulation, and plenty of rest. He’s still learning about handling and will benefit from consistent, positive training to help him grow into a confident, well-mannered adult.
Dean enjoys playing with other dogs, though he can be a little pushy for play, so a tolerant, steady canine friend could be a good match for him. He hasn’t lived with cats before, but careful introductions could work. A secure, private garden is essential for him to safely burn off energy.
Dean is bright, happy, and loving, and with the right guidance and structure, he’ll make a wonderful lifelong companion for the right owner or owners. Due to Dean being so young and is entering his adolescence he will need owners with some experience either with the breed or with larger sized dogs, or to at least done extensive research into the breed so they can fully except what he could turn into as he matures.
