Meet Dumpling our worried Chow Chow girl.

Dumpling came to us as she did not get along with the other dog in the home, therefore will need to be the only dog in her new home with no visiting dogs, or visiting other dogs homes.

Dumpling has a lovely, yet slightly under socialised history. In her previous home she was friendly with known women but a little worried of the men of the house as well as unknown people but would move herself away making the right choices. She shows similar behaviours to unknown dogs being quite worried of them and moving herself away, keeping herself to herself outside.

Since her arrival, we have been working on building her confidence and she has been doing really well with this. This is growing day by day although she is still worried of new people and dogs but is really coming out of her shell. She is not as avoidant now as we have built up her training at her pace.

Dumpling is looking for an experienced home with owners who have owned the breed or have experience with worried dogs. Owners will need to be able to read Dumpling's body language and advocate for her when she feels uncomfortable or worried, knowing when to give her space. She will benefit from a private garden to continue her training in away from distractions and things to worry about.
