More about EUGENE

Meet Eugene, the lovable goofball with a heart of gold! His early years are a bit of a mystery (he claims he was a superhero), but since joining us, he's shown just how sweet and lovable he truly is. Eugene does have a sensitive side - kennel life has been a bit stressful for him, and new people can be a little scary at first. But once he realizes you're the source of belly rubs and treats, he warms up fast and will be your best cuddle buddy in no time. He’s a master of the zoomies, but what he loves most is a calm, hands-on snuggle session.

Eugene is on the lookout for new owners who can help him feel confident and safe. He’s friendly and playful with other dogs but sometimes gets a bit overwhelmed by overly enthusiastic or larger canine friends. He's still figuring out that not all big dogs are looking for a wrestling match!

Ideally, his future family will have experience with nervous or sensitive dogs—bonus points if you’re familiar with sighthounds or have done some research on them. Eugene is a quick learner and will thrive with someone who’s committed to helping him build his confidence and expand his social circle. He's already impressing us with his smarts, and with a little guidance, he’ll be a total star.

Eugene must be muzzled and on-lead when out in public as he has proven to have a high chase drive. A home with a secure, private garden would be perfect, as he’ll need space to let loose, burn off energy, and continue his training in a safe, distraction-free environment. In return, you'll get a smart, goofy, lovable companion who’s ready to be your sidekick in all things cozy and fun!
