More about Evan

Evan is a big, soft-hearted Akita who came to us when his owner could no longer manage the numbers in a multi-dog home.

He has had very little experience of walks in recent years, having mainly been exercised in a garden, but is now learning quickly, enjoying his walks and improving with loose lead walking and recall. On site he is affectionate, people-focused, and full of charm. He is calm and laid back, with a funny and goofy side which comes out when he knows you well.

A typical Akita, he can be reserved with new people, but warms up quickly and is a very loving boy. He loves a fuss, leans in for attention, and builds strong bonds quickly. Evan is a wonderful example of his breed and will make the most loyal and loving companion.

He is still learning how to socialise with other dogs, but has shown no aggression and can calmly sniff and happily walk alongside other dogs when set up well. Evan will suit an experienced home with some existing knowledge of his breed.
