More about FINN

Finn is an affectionate dog based at our Old Windsor centre, if after reading his information you would like to know more about him, please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk

Finn has been spending time in a foster home, where he has been a lovely house guest, and he has claimed his spot on the sofa! He travels well in the car and has been house trained. He knows sit, wait and away commands already and will be keen to learn more. Finn has shown to get a bit over the top with people when he is excited or stressed, however since spending time on foster with a routine and opportunities for long walks and space to stretch his legs he is much calmer. He is gentle and quite lazy at home when he has had a run, and really enjoys spending time with his foster carers.

Finn enjoys the company of people, but toys are a close second favourite especially his tennis balls and teddy toys.

New owners will need to continue Finn's socialisation around other dogs. He is currently to be kept on lead when walking in public as he is still learning social skills to greet dogs politely, however he is responding really well to his clicker training around other dogs. He loves his food and will be a great training buddy.

Finn has plenty of personality to show and has picked up a routine here at Battersea Old Windsor quickly, knowing exactly what picking up his harness means - a very fun walk. He is looking for a home with a private secure garden, to stretch his legs and have some fun.

He does have a sensitive side to his character around some people, including veterinary staff, and needs an understanding and kind approach to helping him in these situations.
