More about FLASH

Meet our Fantastic Flash

Flash came to us from another rescue so we have no information for his first 3 years of life except for him being an ex racing greyhound.

Since arriving at Battersea Flash has shown to be the sweetest boy who loves people whether known or unknown and will greet all with the waggiest helicopter tail and gentle bouncing. He has also shown to enjoy the company of other dogs and has been friendly and playful during his interactions although he will give a warranted tell off if they're too much for him.

Flash loves his food and enjoys using things like a puzzle feeder or a kong, we would recommend switching up feeding methods at mealtimes to keep it fun and mentally stimulating for him.

Although Flash has retired from racing, he still loves to zoom around at high speed so would love a private garden to do laps in. He could live with children older than 13, who would need to be confident around big dogs and able to give him space when he needs it. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home for now as he doesn't get a lot from dogs, although he would benefit from some walking buddies to keep up his socialisation.

Flash's new owners would benefit from doing some research on sight hounds before taking Flash on. Greyhounds are known for their chase drive, he has shown some signs of chase behaviours, though these have mostly been around small fluffy dogs or dogs that are moving very fast. Flash will need to be kept muzzled and on lead when out on walks.

Please note due to the volume of enquires we receive, we will only respond to homes that we feel best fit his needs
