More about Freda
Meet Freda our Golden Retriever x Poodle cross!
Freda is a four-year-old Goldendoodle who forms strong, loving bonds once she feels safe and settled. She is a bright and responsive dog who enjoys training and thrives with clear guidance.
Freda walks nicely on the lead and would love quieter routes away from busy environments. She does mostly prefers her own space as she has shown to not be the most comfortable girl around strangers or other dogs. She has also shown a level of resource guarding when she has something particularly tasty but has shown good response to training around this!
Little Freda has shown some sensitivities around clinical handling, and for this reason will need to be muzzled when she goes to the vets as a precaution. Freda wears the muzzle comfortably but owners will need to be confident in continuing her training around handling and wearing her muzzle.
Freda would need an adult-only home with no visiting children, alongside experienced owners who understand her sensitivities and can support her ongoing training. Freda can be left alone and settles well in her crate.
A secure garden will help with her exercise, recall training, and confidence building. With the right setup, Freda will be a deeply loyal and rewarding companion.
